Lowertown Brewery: A Fun, Family-Friendly Spot with a Few Hiccups

Lowertown Brewery is a lively spot with a lot to offer. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, making it a great place to gather with friends and family. The arcade games and occasional mechanical bull add an extra layer of entertainment, especially for kids. The spacious layout accommodates larger groups, ensuring everyone has room to move around. This place is not dog friendly and I wouldn’t recommend it for folks with mobility issues because the bathrooms are accessed down two flights of stairs in the basement.

While the food and drink selection is impressive, with a variety of craft beers and cocktails, including non-alcoholic options and even espresso martinis on tap, there's a notable downside: the cleanliness of the women's restroom. The limited number of usable stalls and unsanitary conditions were quite disappointing.

While the staff seemed friendly enough, there was a noticeable lack of attention to detail in maintaining the restroom facilities. It's a shame that such a basic amenity could detract from the overall experience.

Overall, Lowertown Brewery is a fun place to spend an evening, but it's important to manage expectations.

I took some out-of-town friends here for trivia and it was a fantastic time! Great beer, the staff were wonderful, and trivia was so much fun.

I can’t wait to go back, and I am recommending the Monday night trivia to all of my friends in Ottawa!

Long time customer, first time reviewer. Great food, wide selection of beers and spirits, and always great service. Jason was behind the bar for our visit today and I couldn't have asked for better service!! Highly recommend!
