Lainey’s Luck is Ottawa’s first “weigh to thrift” store, offering vintage and pre-loved clothing priced by the pound. Located at 523 Bank Street (at Catherine), the store provides an affordable way to enhance your wardrobe, with many items available for as low as $4.99 per pound.
The store features racks of inspected and steamed vintage and high-quality used clothing, as well as bins where customers can dig through mixed sizes and styles to find unique pieces. Notable deals include suede jackets priced individually at around $27 and T-shirts from the bins averaging about $2 each.
You need it, they got it – the way to improve your wardrobe on a budget! Whether it is a new suede jacket, a new skirt, or that perfect handbag – they have got it all – and many things are only $4.99 a pound!
Also having bins of clothing that are all priced by-the-pound. You have to put more effort in at the bins, but the reward is great deals!
Lainey’s Luck was founded by Samantha and her partner Jamil in late August 2023. Samantha, with over 25 years in the restaurant industry, and Jamil, who worked in nonprofits and renewable energy, aimed to create a store that combines their passion for thrifting and vintage clothing with a commitment to sustainability.
The store is situated just north of the intersection of Bank and Catherine Streets, in the same building as Instant Imprints, Galaxy Camera, and Meow That’s Hot!
